A brush finish concrete floor is created by dragging a brush over the surface of a new concrete floor once it has been levelled to create a textured appearance. This finish is typically used as a wearing surface on external yards producing high slip resistance where footfall is high and water damage poses a threat.

Brush finish concrete requires working fast to finalize the finish whilst the concrete is still wet enough to allow the brush to run over it, but dry enough not to ruin the levelling work.
